Ordain women," London bus ads will urge Pope
One group of women, Catholic Women's Ordination (CWO), will have its message plastered on the side of the buses as they travel along key routes, including past Westminster Hall, at the Palace of Westminster, where the pope is set to deliver a speech to Britain's civic society on September 17.
The group has paid 15,000 pounds ($23,130) for 15 buses to carry the message "Pope Benedict - Ordain Women Now!" for a month.
"We do not want to be disruptive, but I think the church has got to change or it will not survive," CWO spokeswoman Pat Brown told Reuters.
(My 2 Cents: Funny, Pat Brown, it's about to die off when it survived thus far for over 2,000 years...and Jesus did promise the "gates of hell" shall never conquer/prevail....so, take a deep breath....we will survive...) :)
Classic Catholic meditations to help you banish your
spiritual lethargy and grow closer to God
Sounds interesting!
Without regular reminders of God and a sure routine of prayer and meditation, your inner life shrivels up, your prayers grow listless, the sacraments become habits, and even the Mass seems routine.
Daily meditation is a proven remedy for such dangerous spiritual lethargy, and in our day it’s more important than ever before. That’s why the wise Dominican priest Bede Jarrett penned for busy Catholics like you the more than 120 meditations collected here — none longer than 1,000 words — to ensure that each of your days contains at least one brief, thoughtful encounter with God.

Archbishop Chaput calls for resistance to intolerance of Christianity
In warning Catholics of a new initiative to reduce religion to "an individual lifestyle accessory," the Denver archbishop also underscored the difference between "freedom of worship" and the "freedom of religion," noting that the former is a "much smaller and more restrictive idea" in which religion has a place "but only as an individual lifestyle accessory." On the other hand, "freedom of religion" includes "the right to preach, teach, assemble, organize, and to engage society and its issues publicly, both as individuals and joined together as communities of faith."

Religious Cleansing: Is the Grinch living in Loudoun County, Virginia?
Last year members of the Rotary Club of Leesburg were asking themselves, "Where are we and how did we get here?" After almost 50 years, their annual Christmas tree would not be allowed on the Courthouse lawn. Since that time public outcry, from both sides of the issue, have put county supervisors in the hot seat - and it's not over.

Divine Mercy: The Miracles.
Divine Mercy: The Miracles.
It is not possible to relay all of the miracles connected to the Divine Mercy and the promise Jesus made to mankind in regards to the image and the chaplet. To list all, would fill many books by themselves. There is much less written about the miracles than has taken place. This is because they are often personal and people do not report them.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE: THE OCCULT HAS DEMONIC INFLUENCE Bishop Donald W. Montrose
By the "occult," we are speaking of some supra-human or supernatural influence that is not from God. We commonly associate the occult with that which has demonic influence.

Faith of Our Fathers
American Catholics have a treasury of faith now all but forgotten and hidden away in the countryside of Southern Maryland. "Mary's Land" was the third English-speaking colony of America and the first colony founded by a charter guaranteeing freedom of religion. St. Clement's Island, located in the Potomac River in St. Mary's County, Maryland, is the birthplace of both religious toleration and Catholicism in the English-speaking colonies of America.

EXORCISM BLESSING FOR SACRAMENTALS
Prayers for Priests to bless sacramentals

Novenas
Novena comes from the Latin word “novem,” which means nine. A novena is nine days of prayer. Why nine? It comes from Sacred Scripture, the Bible. Jesus instructed his disciples to “pray always” right after he ascended into heaven. The disciples prayed for NINE days, and they received an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
The Catholic Church has adopted the power of nine days of prayer in the form of novenas, a popular devotion. Typically, novenas are set prayers that are recited for nine days with the care and protection of our Lord, the Blessed Virgin Mary, or any number of saints. A novena may be dedicated to a specific intention.
Video – Marian Shrines of the World #3: Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii
Ave Maria!
Join Fr. Andre as he discusses the life of Blessed Bartolo Longo and the Marian Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii. A very interesting story!
Did you know Blsd. Bartolo was once a Satanic priest?! Listen to the video.
I love Saint stories (blsd./venrble/etc) due to they were normal human beings with faults....they show us that anyone is capable of changing and becoming a saint. Pretty cool. It also reminds us to never give up on anyone! If a Satanic priest can become "Blessed" in the Church, that gives all mothers and people praying for conversion of their loved ones hope. :)

To know God, approach him on his terms
I thought this was a nice article because many of us today know the truth and know inside that on some truth we don't wish to recognize...it'd be better "invisible" as if it did not exist, as if God had no word on it....living the life of a hypocrite in some form or fashion...wanting to be Catholic/Christian on our own terms, which is really making ourselves God! :-D Not good. We know better. We want better but sometimes, we can be selfish and want "my will be done" instead of "Thy Will be done"....we need grace to surrender...we, as Catholics, can get that grace through the Sacraments: Mass, Confession, etc. It takes being humble and courageous to come to know your REAL self....because it is then that we see what we need to fix.
Let us love thy neighbor and pray for the conversion of unbelievers daily...and in that prayer, we include ourselves! Yes, those tiny parts or medium or big parts of us that do not believe (as we don't surrender them). :) God bless you.
Exorcist priest confronts Beelzebub, Judas
Exorcist priest Father Carl Vogl wrote a report that described a 23-day exorcism of a woman in Earling, Iowa, in 1928 which has become one of the most famous exorcism accounts in the United States. (click link above for article)
Following is part of the dialog between the exorcist and two demons speaking through the possessed woman and found in the booklet, Begone Satan, by Rev. Carl Vogl and published by Tan Books …I read and loved it! We may not know the truth but Satan does! LOL He blabs all about the power of confession, that God is real, etc. etc.
Great little book to remind us that after death there is a heaven or hell for your soul...for all eternity at that. Not something to risk and take lightly.

Antibiotics are a bedrock of modern medicine. But in the very near future, we're going to have to learn to live without them once again. And it's going to get nasty

Joy and living the truth of a Christian life ¤
by Father Dominique Faure CSJ
"When Jesus says that he came to bring tidings of joy, that is what it means to be evangelised - the Gospel, the Good News is when we have opened ourselves to this tidings of joy that Jesus came to offer, and I often wonder if we have really discovered this Christian joy. Do we really understand what Jesus means when he speaks of the Good News? ... Our Christian life demands from us to be on the battlefield. St Thomas Aquinas doesn't hesitate to say after the Cross there is more suffering in the world than before, and the closer is the return of Christ the more the suffering will increase. It is important to accept that trials are an essential part of our Christian life, destabilisations are an essential part of our Christian life, the battlefield is an essential part. Jesus didn't come to bring us back to the peace and harmony of the garden of Eden; he came and demanded from us that we live again and again with Him all the tension that he has lived at the Cross. There, so easily, so quickly, we run away from the battlefield..we prefer to run away rather than stand in hope ....to discover that whatever suffering we go through, this is the battlefield that Jesus is waiting for us and there that he is willing to meet us in order to give us this joy that the world cannot give us, to give us this peace that the world cannot give us."
Father Dominique is from France and is a brother of the Community of St John.
